Making an RPG PDF - Table Issues

Post by Machaeus »

I'm trying to make a PDF for a tabletop RPG - the third I've made for sale on DriveThruRPG. I've been informed that most people paste their tables as images, as most RPG docs use columns.

Problem is, I'm not sure if there's a way to easily convert a table to an image format without using a screenshot, because when you do that, you get all the blur-pixels in Photoshop, GIMP, etc.

I don't know if anyone can help me with this, or what you'd do or suggest, because when I try to put tables in with columns, they get all squished and screwed up, and it seems to be too much effort to reformat them every time...

You only get artefacts if you save as a JPG. Save as a PNG or GIF and it will be fine, as below ...

Okay, after trying to do the images thing, I think I'm just gonna give up on that method.

My new plan is as such: I'm going to just find a way to create a table that doesn't go catty-wompus if you have multiple columns in the text portions of the document.

Can anyone help me with this new goal?
