When I attempt to open a certain file, I get this message. Is the file recoverable? I have an editor, and attempted to look at row 2, column 215018; but according to the editor, it doesn't exist. The last column on that line is 2.
What should be my next step, or is it hopeless?

The speediest solution will be to upload the damaged file (a copy not over-Saved by any later attempts to fix) and someone will examine it and attempt to fix it. One needs to examine the innards of such a file using an XML editor and remove one or more erroneous internal tags.
Edit: Text (Writer) documents are often more easily recovered than spreadsheet documents, but someone will try if a file is available.
