Is it possible to duplicate a form "text box"?
Is it possible to duplicate a form "text box"?
Is it possible to duplicate a previously-completed text box entry on a Writer form? I enter a person's name in a "text box" having a Control - Name of RenterName on one part of my "form". When the form is completed, I want the entered RenterName (e.g.: John Doe) to ALSO appear in a specific ?text box? located later in my form, without manually re-entering the renter's name. Possible? Process? I'm hoping for something like a text box with a Control - Name like ="RenterName". Thanks.

Here is a simple ODF (ODT) form illustrating my desire. When exported as a PDF it does not accomplish the desired goal.

I meant "ODF" as Open Document Format, .odt file name extension for a Writer document.

Rename the .odf to .odt.Zizi64 wrote:I meant "ODF" as Open Document Format, .odt file name extension for a Writer document.

Sorry, the problem was not related to the extension of the filename, but to the protected state of the sample document. I cannot unprotect it.Zizi64 wrote:

Re: Is it possible to duplicate a form "text box"?
What you try to do would work with a form that is bound to a database. It does not work with an unbound form.
Edit: I just noticed that you created an XML Form Document but without binding to any XML model. I know next to nothing about this document type. |

OK, it works somehow. Just set the data properties of the 2 controls accoringly (same model, same binding).
