Re: GIFs not working
Perhaps you could give us more information about your problem; what OpenOffice application are you using and exactly what is happening that makes you think gifs have stopped working.

Re: GIFs not working
More info is needed to properly solve this problem.
In the meantime you can do the following:
1.Check if the GIF file is corrupted or damaged. Try opening the file in another program or web browser to see if it works properly.
2.Make sure that your OpenOffice program is up to date. Check for updates and install any that are available.
3.Check the settings in OpenOffice to make sure that graphics are enabled. Go to "Tools" > "Options" > "OpenOffice.org" > "View" and make sure that "Graphics and Objects" is checked.
4.Try inserting the GIF file as an image rather than an animation. To do this, right-click on the GIF file and select "Open With" > "Choose Default Program" > "Windows Photo Viewer" (or another image viewer). Then, in OpenOffice, go to "Insert" > "Picture" > "From File" and select the image file.
