[Solved] Impress Not Displaying a Slide
[Solved] Impress Not Displaying a Slide
I have a test .odp file (attached). There are five slides. When I use F5 to get into presentation mode, slide 4 does not display. Can someone try to reproduce this? Is this a bug? Another minor problem with the last slide - the URL is in blue; how can I change it to black? Thanks.

Re: Impress Not Displaying a Slide
The 4th slide is hidden.
Right click and select the "Show slide" option.

Thanks, that did it. What would be the purpose of having a slide in a presentation and then hiding it?

It is highly useful. Very often at work you need to show only some of the slides but keep all of them in case the hidden ones need to be updated in the future. That way you always have the whole set of slides.

One can also make any number of Custom Slide shows by selecting the desired slides, in any wanted order, from the slides of the entire presentation. Menu item: /Slide Show /Custom Slide Show. Any slide in the Presentation can be used multiple times in different Custom Slide shows.
Further to what Hagar said about a Hidden slide; one might use the same presentation at two levels of skill, one in broad outline where the detailed slides are hidden, the other showing the previously hidden slides which disclose the fine detail.
