[Solved] All pages on one window

Post by troopship »

Hi,
I hit a button or did something wrong that puts all the pages of a OO Writer document on a single viewing window.
This is different than the page preview function.
It is affecting all the Writer docs on my machine.
I have tried reinstalling, reinstalling a previous version and reinstalling after a full (C:) OO file search and deletion.
Please refer to the enclosed screenshots of the correct single page view and the new default with all pages on one viewing pane.
Well the PNG files are to large to send, even in a zip folder
So what did I do wrong that puts all the pages upon a single viewing pane and how do I correct the problem so that each page is once again displayed in it's own window?
Thank you,
Troopship

Hi again,
I thank you for being there for all of us OO users.
I think that I solved the problem.
On one of the infected documents, I found under the View tab "Print Layout" & "Web Layout".
I selected Print first and then Web and the multi page on one viewing pane ended.
Thank you,
Troopship

You probably pulled the scaling slider at bottom right of an OpenOffice window, on the Status Bar. You should investigate the options the three little display icons and the scaling slider offer, as web layout is not always a good display option.

A usual option is to click on the leftmost of the three icons (a single page display) and then to pull the slider on their right towards the right to 100%, or right click in the % box in the corner and choose one of the offered settings.

The three page display icons are (from the left): a single page icon, separate pages, a book opening. These are all affected by the scaling factor, so that if you use a small factor (say 25%), you get multiple examples of the selected display style.

View should be print layout if you want t osee your document as separate pages. You have most likely clicked one of the View Layout icons on the Status Bar; you can choose from (left to right icons) single page, side-by-side, and book layout views. You probably want the default which is the leftmost icon, as shown below.
