[Solved] Why not build a pure 64-bit version?

Post by AOO a User »

I searched the forum and I didn't find something that talk about it

I guess a pure 64-bit version can accelerate the process of opening files, and may reduce crashes.

(And I found other OSes have 64-bit ver,why not Windows)

Switch to LibreOffice, that has a 64-bit version. There are several good reasons for making the switch anyway, some of which are mentioned here: [Tutorial] Considering a Switch from OpenOffice to LibreOffice? Some Useful Information
LibreOffice 24.8.4.2 (x64) installed to Windows 11 Pro. 24H2
Apache OpenOffice Portable 4.1.15 [Portable Apps]
For Java I use Adoptium Temurin JRE LTS Releases.
