[Solved] Spell check does not find misspelled word

I purposely misspell deficiqrwencies in my document, but it is not noticed. Other questionable words, such a persons' names, have a squiggly red underlines, but no such marking is attached to deficiqrwencies, and Tools>Spelling and grammar does not pick up on the misspelled word. What am I missing?
