Has LibreOffice 'Still' been discontinued?

Post by LastUnicorn »

Checking at LibreOffice download page today there is no 'Still' edition shown for download now. Does this mean LibreOffice Still is permanently sunk? https://www.libreoffice.org/download/do ... breoffice/
LibreOffice (Still) 24.2.7.2 (x64) installed to Windows 11 Pro.
Apache OpenOffice Portable 4.1.15 [Portable Apps]
For Java I use Adoptium Temurin JRE LTS Releases.

Ah! I just found this, dated as posted today: Announcement of LibreOffice 24.2.5

There is a paragraph there that says:
For users who don’t need the latest features and prefer a version that has undergone more testing and bug fixing, The Document Foundation maintains a version with some months of back-ported fixes. The current release has reached the end of life, so users should update to LibreOffice 24.2.5 when the new major release LibreOffice 24.8 becomes available in August.
So it would seem this absence of 'Still' at the download page might just be a glitch in transferring to the new numbering schemes for versions. In August it might all come right again. Wait see I suppose.
