Recover Recent Documents List

I have lost my Recent Documents List since my PC crashed (after the most recent updates).
Someone has mentioned to me that after I re-sign in (I've never previously had to after a crash), this is automatically recovered. I didn't re-sign in as I skipped by it too quickly. I now can't see how to sign in without crashing the again.
Is there a way to sign in/change user half-way through a session? or another way to recover the Recent Documents List?

Short answer - no, the recent files list is gone.

Note that as you open, save and close files those files will be added to your new recent list.
You do understand that this is only a list of files recently opened; the actual files remain untouched.

Thanks, Robleyd. I am aware of that. I wanted to recover the Recent Files List so I can easily reload different files (and different versions) I've been working on - as they're in different folders.
I haven't had to re-sign in previously so skipped it without thinking. This is more inconvenient than I can explain and hugely annoying.

I assume you mean entering your name etc. when AOO starts; even had you done so the recent list would not have been magically restored. What "someone mentioned to you" was in error. The crash caused the user profile to be damaged and on restart of AOO a new, empty profile was created. Among many other things, the profile contains the recent files list.
