[Solved] Can I import generic Vector graphics into Draw

Adobe Illustrator files are not supported. Export to SVG for import into Draw/Impress.
AFAIK, the png format is a bitmap format exclusively, with no mechanism for storing vector data.

if you have the PDFimport-extension installed then you can import PDF into Draw.

Often .ai files can be renamed to .pdf and opened directly. Otherwise stick to keme's solution which will give better results.
