I am in all honesty what would be called a casual user..
I am sure everyone knows about MEMEs
well I have discovered that draw is GREAT TOTALLY AWESOME for making them
with only one drawback
the save options... right now you basically have 4 draw options to save to
how about adding the choice to save as an IMAGE file... JPG would be my first choice
as of now I have found a web site that converts any format to any format for free
drawback is
make file and save as odg
log onto web site
go thru process of converting
go to download page
download ZIP file
unzip
rename file
use
can the developers help????

Try /File /Export As and scroll down the file type box to select JPEG.

The AOO Draw, LibreOffice Draw are a vectorgraphic applications. The JPG is not the best choice for exporting the "lineart", vectorgraphic pictures as a pixel based picture. I suggest to you use the PNG fileformat or the GIF for this task. The the result of the JPG export probably will be blurry...


And there is an extension, named 'Export as images':

You can create and apply different object styles for the graphical objects. You can adjust the
- background color (or pattern...);
- the line type, color and width;
- the font properties of the object style
- etc...

Also, note that Draw works within the "page" (or "slide transparency") paradigm. When you export to graphics, the default is to export the entire page (so you get a white, sheet sized background with your image).

Select your graphic before exporting. With that, you will get the option to export only the selected parts.

Also, in some cases you will find transparency useful, which is another reason to avoid jpg (even though it may be practical to stick to jpg in some cases). The jpg format does not support transparency, but both png and gif do (as do several other formats).

JPG should only be used for photos and never be used for graphics.
