Deleting, copying, and moving a table

Deleting a table
To delete a table:
- Click somewhere in the table.
- Select Table > Delete > Table from the main menu.
Or:
- Select from the end of the paragraph before the table to the start of the paragraph after the table.
- Press the Delete or the Backspace key.
Copying a table
To copy a table from one part of the document and paste it into another part:
- Click somewhere in the table.
- From the main menu select Table > Select > Table.
- Press Control+C or click the Copy icon on the Standard toolbar.
- Move the cursor to the target position and click on it to fix the insertion point.
- Press Control+V or click the Paste icon in the Standard toolbar.
Moving a table
To move a table from one part of a document to another part:
- Click somewhere in the table.
- From the main menu, select Table > Select > Table.
- Press Control+X or click the Cut icon in the Standard toolbar.
- Move the cursor to the target position and click on it to fix the insertion point.
- Press Control+V or click the Paste icon in the Standard toolbar.
- Return to the original table, click somewhere in it and then select Table > Delete > Table from the main menu.
Or:
- Add a temporary heading before the table and after the table
- Open the navigator and expand Headings
- Select the temporary heading
- Use the navigator Promote chapter and Demote chapter to move the heading, and consequently the table, within the document
- Delete the temporary headings
