Founder-member of ILUG-Cal and its BLAFH (Bastard List Admin From Hell)... those who miss the joke should read up this

I've been using Linux and Open Source for over a decade. A large part of that time has been spent in evangelising FOSS around West Bengal, starting with co-founding the Indian GNU/Linux User Group – Kolkata Chapter in 1999.

Localized Low Cost Computing (acronymed L2C2) and FOSS technology stack productization are my current areas of interest. I'm a member of several global open-source projects e.g. OpenOffice.Org NLP, Ankur Bangla Project (Bengali FOSS L10N project), Koha (world's first Open Source ILS), DSpace (Digital Library Project by MIT Libraries and HP Labs) to name a few. Presently I'm serving as Chief Technology Architect of L2C2 Technologies - a Kolkata-based FOSS startup of which I'm also a co-founder.
